Ash Heritage Group The Ash Heritage Group was formed in 2009 to preserve and celebrate the history of the village. It has worked closely with the AVH Management Committee and now has its own purpose built Village Archive to the rear of the hall complex, which opened in September 2011. This houses a photographic collection as well as numerous deeds, wills and records of the parish and old village families, going back hundreds of year - thus providing not only for their safe keeping, but making it possible for future generations to carry out research into their history.
The group is actively looking for supporter members to support its aims, £5 a year, also for volunteers to man the archive when it is open to the public or work on future projects. Ash in World War 2 is the ongoing project at present, anyone who has memories or photogrphs of this time and is willing to share them, please contact Ash Heritage Group via the
website or contact:
Ann Foat (Chairman) on 01304 812121
Sylvia Profitt (Secretary) on 01304 812770 or by email
